The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Operations oversees campus administrative and operative services at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. From parking to facilities, the resources and services offered by the reporting units help fulfill the university’s missions of education, teaching, research and public engagement.

Mike is responsible for campus administration and operations. In this capacity, he is the Chancellor’s liaison to the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics, and has responsibility for Facility Scheduling and Logistics, Division of Public Safety, Facilities and Services, Parking Department, Purchasing and Contract Management, Altgeld Tower Chimes, McFarland Carillon, Office of Threat Assessment, Office of Strategic Project Management, Allerton Park and Retreat Center, Chicago Illini Center, Police Training Institute, Illinois Fire Service Institute and Willard Airport. Prior to Illinois, Mike served in leadership roles at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Florida. Mike has a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, a master’s from The Ohio State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
