The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Operations oversees campus administrative and operative services at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. From parking to facilities, the resources and services offered by the reporting units help fulfill the university’s missions of education, teaching, research and public engagement.

Lowa Mwilambwe currently serves as the Interim Vice Chancellor for Administration and Operations. Prior to this role, he served as Associate Vice Chancellor for Auxiliary, Health & Wellbeing in Student Affairs, which oversees the Illini Union, McKinley Health Center, Campus Recreation, Counseling Center, University Housing, Parking and the State Farm Center (co-managed with the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics). Lowa holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Western Illinois University and a master’s degree in economics from Illinois State University.
